Know Where Your Junior Golfer Stands
Every player develops differently. Before recommending lessons or a training program, Players Elite Golf Academy begins with a Player Evaluation to understand where the golfer is today and what should come next.
The evaluation provides a clear starting point for development instead of guessing which program or level is appropriate.
What Is a Player Evaluation?
The Player Evaluation is a 45-minute assessment, not simply a golf lesson. The purpose is to evaluate the player's current game, identify strengths and development needs, understand goals, and determine the appropriate training pathway.
There is no obligation to enroll in a program after the evaluation. It is designed to give every family a clear, honest picture of where the player stands and what should come next.
Evaluation Duration
45 minutes
Evaluation Fee
$75 per player

A Complete Picture of the Player
The evaluation goes beyond swing technique to assess the full game — the same areas that determine how a junior golfer actually develops and scores.
Full Swing & Ball Striking
Contact quality, ball flight, consistency, club delivery, and overall control.
Short Game & Wedges
Chipping, pitching, wedge distance control, trajectory, and scoring skills.
Putting
Start line, speed control, consistency, green-reading fundamentals, and routine.
Speed & Athletic Development
Age-appropriate movement, coordination, speed, mobility, and athletic potential.
Scoring Ability
Current scoring level, on-course experience, strengths, and where strokes may be lost.
Practice Habits
How the player practices, their ability to follow a plan, and their level of independence.
Golf IQ & Course Management
Decision-making, shot selection, understanding of strategy, and playing to strengths.
Coachability & Maturity
Communication, focus, willingness to learn, response to feedback, and competitive maturity.
Competitive Experience & Goals
Current tournament participation, high-school golf goals, junior-tour experience, and long-term objectives.
You can't build the right development plan until you know where the player is starting.
Two junior golfers of the same age may have completely different skill levels, scoring ability, practice habits, and goals. Players Elite does not place golfers solely by age.
How the Evaluation Process Works
A clear, repeatable progression — from the first conversation to a measurable development plan.
Parent & Player Conversation
Discuss golf background, experience, goals, current challenges, and what the family is looking for.
Skills Assessment
Evaluate full swing, short game, putting, scoring ability, speed, and other relevant areas.
Development Analysis
Identify strengths, weaknesses, patterns, and the areas that should receive the most attention.
Level & Program Recommendation
Determine the most appropriate starting level and training pathway.
Development Plan
Explain what the player should work on next and how progress can be measured over time.
Players Elite Development Levels
“You Don't Buy Your Level. You Earn It.”
A player advances based on demonstrated development and performance — not simply age, time in the program, or payment.
White Foundation
Entry point — fundamentals, grip, setup, and the first measurable skills.
Green Development
Building repeatable mechanics and consistent practice habits.
Blue Continuing Development
Refining ball-striking, short game, and on-course scoring.
Red Junior Elite
Competitive readiness with tournament preparation and course strategy.
Black Competitive
High-level tournament performance and advanced scoring under pressure.
Gold Elite Performance
Peak performance — the college and elite-amateur competitive pathway.
Technology & Training Environment
Technology supports the coaching process by helping measure what is actually happening in the player's game — so the evaluation reflects real performance, not opinion.

What Happens After the Evaluation?
After the evaluation, Michael will recommend one of several possible next steps depending on the player.
The recommendation is based on the player's needs and goals, and there is no obligation to enroll.
Who Should Schedule an Evaluation?
The evaluation is the right first step for a wide range of junior golfers — not only competitive players.

Michael Camastro, PGA
Michael Camastro brings more than 35 years of coaching experience to every evaluation. He has coached junior golfers from early development through high-school, competitive junior golf, and college pathways — giving each player an honest, individualized assessment of where they stand and what should come next.
